Bansal Art & Handicraft

Starting early at 416/2 on Mehrauli Gurgaon Road is usually how the day goes for us here in Ghitorni. The traffic is always moving outside, so it’s pretty loud most of the time. We have a lot of stuff piled up inside because Bansal Art & Handicraft takes up a fair bit of room with all the pieces we keep. It’s mostly wood and metal things that we handle every day. Some days are just spent dusting everything off because the road outside kicks up a lot of dirt. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning that works all the time, just a regular space where we get work done. People driving between Delhi and Gurgaon see our sign and sometimes pull over to look around. It's a bit cramped in some corners, but we know where everything is kept. Usually, there’s a couple of us here drinking tea and waiting for the next delivery truck to show up. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, so the neighbors know us. It isn’t some big corporate setup, just a local business trying to keep things moving. We spend a lot of time wrapping items in bubble wrap and newspaper to make sure they don’t break. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is acting up in Ghitorni, but we just keep working. It's a basic life here on the main road, and we just try to keep the shop organized enough so we can find what we need.
