Baba Crafts

If you go down to the basement at B-128 in Lajpat Nagar-I, you’ll find us. Baba Crafts is a small operation, mostly just a few of us working on various bits and pieces throughout the day. Being in a basement has its quirks, like it’s cooler in the summer but a bit dim sometimes. We’ve got lights set up everywhere so we can see what we’re doing. Lajpat Nagar-I is a busy place, and there’s always something happening right outside our door. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the craft work. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get made. You might see some scrap material or tools laying on the tables if you visit us. We don't tidy up just for appearances; we tidy up when the work is done. It's a simple way of running things. We've been at B-128 for quite a while, so the locals know we're here. We aren't part of any big chain. It’s just a local shop. Sometimes the deliveries are a bit of a hassle in the narrow streets, but we manage. We like the quiet of the basement compared to the chaos of the market above. Baba Crafts is just a place where we put in our hours and try to make things that people find useful. There isn't much more to it than that, really. We just sit on our old wooden stools and get through the pile of work.
