B. K. Handicrafts

We've been at Zakir Nagar for a while now, up on the second floor of building 32/11 at room 205. Getting things up and down those stairs can be a bit of a workout, especially on hot days, but it’s where B. K. Handicrafts runs from. If you're coming via New Friends Colony, you'll find us okay. Most days are just spent looking over pieces, checking the work folks have done, and making sure things are packed right. It's not a huge place, but it's ours. We deal with all sorts of handmade items. Sometimes the workshop gets a bit cluttered with materials and half-finished projects, but that's just how it goes when you're making things by hand. The light in the afternoons is actually pretty good for seeing the small details on the crafts. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just us, a few desks, and piles of stock waiting to be sent out. We try to keep things moving and make sure the people we work with get their orders. It's a lot of phone calls and checking boxes. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall downstairs when things get busy. It’s a busy neighborhood and there’s always something happening outside on the street. We’ve been part of this little community for years and most people around here know where to find us if they need any help.
