It’s a busy part of Delhi, almost near the border, where there’s always a lot of traffic and dust in the air. The name of the shop is simple because we used to have specific hours, though things change. The shop is a basic setup with the usual chairs and mirrors you would expect in a local saloon. We get a lot of guys from the nearby workshops and houses coming in after their shifts. It’s a place where you can sit down, have a glass of water, and wait for your turn while watching the world go by through the front door. The tiles on the floor are a bit worn out from all the walking, but they are easy to clean. We don't use any fancy language or try to sell products that people don't need. Usually, it's just a standard haircut or a shave. The scissors need sharpening every few weeks, and the combs are always sitting in a jar of blue liquid. It is just a real place for people who live and work in Badarpur. We don't have big signs or neon lights. People find us because they live nearby or their friends told them we do a decent job for a fair price. We just focus on keeping the chairs moving and the conversation light for everyone who walks in.
