Hmt Machine Tools Limited

Our office for Hmt Machine Tools Limited is located at Hig Ii B, Flat 1 5, in the Thakurpukur Housing Estate. It is right there in Phase 2 on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Kolkata. It is a bit of a strange spot for a machine tool company since it is inside a housing estate, but it works fine for our administrative needs. We have a few rooms filled with technical drawings and manuals for all sorts of heavy equipment. It gets quite cramped when we have new stock or catalogs arriving. Kolkata can get very hot and sticky, so we usually have the windows open and the fans going all day long. We do not have a big showroom here to display the actual machines. Most of that happens at the factory or on-site with the customers. This flat is just where we handle the orders, the billing, and the phone calls. The housing estate is a lively place with lots of families, so there is always some noise from outside. We have a small staff and we have all known each other for a long time. We do not use any marketing speak because our customers are mostly industrial people who just want the specs and the prices. It is a plain and simple operation. We just try to keep everything organized and make sure the tools get where they are supposed to go.
