Our office is located at 73 Ashoke Road in the Garia area of Kolkata. Being in 700084, we are right in the thick of things in South Kolkata. It’s a typical government department vibe here. You’ll see plenty of stacks of files and people moving around with purpose, even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. We’ve been in this building for years, and the walls show it, but it’s our home. We handle the paperwork and the public who come in with their questions. It’s not always easy, especially when it’s humid outside, but we manage with the old ceiling fans. There isn't any corporate polish here. We use what we have and get the job done. Sometimes we have to wait for things to get approved from higher up, which is just part of the process. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just come in at nine, do our tasks, and head home when the sun starts to set. The tea stalls nearby are where we usually end up during our breaks. It’s a very local, very real way of working. If you need us, just come to Ashoke Road and look for the number 73. We’re usually there unless it’s a public holiday or something. It’s just how things are done in this part of the city.
