Rachana Senior Secondary School

Our school is located in Bheira Bakipur, which is part of the Manouli and Manouli Khurampur area in Sonepat. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address. We are surrounded by fields mostly. Rachana Senior Secondary School is a place where the kids from the nearby villages come to learn. It’s a quiet life out here for the most part. We have a decent-sized building with several floors. The wind blows across the fields and into the classrooms, which is nice in the spring. We don’t have a lot of the distractions you find in the city. Our focus is just on the lessons and the students. The road to the school can be a bit rough after it rains. We have to remind the students to wipe their shoes before they walk inside. We have a lot of space, so the kids have room to run around during their breaks. It is a very practical environment. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just teach. The teachers come from the local area, so they understand the background of the students. We spend our afternoons finishing up paperwork and getting ready for the next day. Rachana Senior Secondary School is just a steady part of Manouli Khurampur. We’ve been here for years and hope to be here for many more. It's a lot of work but it feels right.
