J D Memorial School sits on New Kabirpur Road in Sonepat. It’s been part of this neighborhood for a good while now. We see the local traffic passing by our gates every day. The school isn't some high-rise building; it’s a straightforward place where kids come to learn their lessons. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the classrooms and making sure the bells ring on time. Sonepat has changed a lot over the years with more buildings going up, but our little corner on New Kabirpur Road stays pretty much the same. The kids arrive in the morning, some walking and some on cycles. We have teachers who have been with us for a long time. It’s not always easy keeping everything in order, but we manage. Sometimes the playground gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up in the afternoon. We have regular desks and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. It’s a very local feel here. Parents often stop by the gate to have a quick word with us about their children or some paperwork. We don't have any fancy mission statements or big posters on the walls. It’s just about the day-to-day work of running a school. We make sure there’s chalk for the boards and that the water coolers are full. It's a busy life, but it’s what we do here in Sonipat. We just keep at it.
