Karan Singh Memorial Senior Sec School

Our school, Karan Singh Memorial Senior Sec School, is located in Khanda, which is out in Sonepat. It is a local place for the children around the 131402 pin code area. We have been here for years, and many people in the village have sent their kids to us. The school is a senior secondary one, so we have the older students finishing up their studies alongside the younger ones. The building is solid and has stood for a long time. We have a playground where the students spend their breaks. It is mostly just dirt and grass, but they don't seem to mind when they are playing. The teachers are locals mostly, and they understand the way things work around here. We have classrooms for science and other subjects too. Every morning starts with everyone gathering together before heading to their rooms. It can get quite hot in the summer, so we have fans going in the rooms to keep things moving. We don’t really go in for fancy talk or big promises. We just provide a place for kids to study their books and take their exams. It is a straightforward operation. Parents often drop by to talk to us about their children's progress. We know most of the families by name since Khanda isn't that big. It’s just a normal school day for us and we keep it that way.
