Prathmesh Engineering

Plot No.-114 is where we spend all our time. Out here on Akkalkot Road, the industrial area near MIDC Solapur is always buzzing. Prathmesh Engineering is just one of many shops in this stretch, but we have our own way of doing things. The sun hits the metal roof pretty hard in the afternoon, making the whole place feel like an oven, but we keep the fans going. We mostly work with local businesses that need parts for their own machines. We aren't a big corporation with fancy meetings. We just meet on the floor and talk about what needs to be cut or welded next. The inventory is stacked up in the corners, sometimes a bit messy, but we know where everything is. My father started this kind of work, and I just kept it going. We use a lot of grease and the smell stays on your clothes even after you wash them. Solapur is a hardworking city, and we try to match that energy. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit outside and wait, chatting with the guys from the next plot over. It’s a community of makers and fixers. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just take the raw metal and turn it into something useful. It’s simple, it’s dirty, and it’s what we know how to do best.
