Atharva Engineering Works

We are based out of Plot C-75 in the MIDC area of Baramati. It’s a large industrial zone, and we are just one of many workshops here. The sun gets really hot in Baramati, so our shed can feel like an oven in April. We’ve got high ceilings to help with the heat, but it only does so much. Our work involves a lot of heavy machinery. We do fabrication and some basic machining. The floor is concrete and usually has oil stains on it. We aren't much for decorations. There’s a small office in the corner with a metal desk and a couple of chairs for visitors. We spend most of our time out on the floor anyway. The guys here have been doing this for years. We don't talk much while working; the machines are too loud for that. We usually take a long break in the middle of the day when the heat is at its worst. Then we work later into the evening when it’s cooler. It’s a hard way to make a living, but it’s what we know. There’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a pile of raw steel become something useful. We don't look for praise. We just want the client to be okay with the work so we can get paid and move on to the next job.
