Kitchen Crafts

Kitchen Crafts is situated in units 33 and 34 of the Birajdar Complex. It’s a modest setup. We spend most of our days surrounded by the things we sell. The complex itself is a busy place with a lot of different businesses. Our units are a bit packed, so we have to be careful when moving around so we don't knock anything over. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but it usually falls apart by Wednesday. The floor is made of that old grey stone that stays cool even when it’s hot outside. There’s a small wooden stool near the entrance where we sit when we’re taking a break. The security guard for the complex often stops by to say hello. We don't have any big air conditioning units, just the standard ceiling fans. When the sun hits the windows in the late afternoon, it gets very bright inside. We’ve taped up some cardboard to keep the light out of our eyes. It doesn't look great, but it does the job. We’ve been in this complex for quite a few years now. We know all the little quirks of the building, like which doors stick when it rains. It’s a familiar place to be. We just show up and do our work. There’s nothing more to it than that, really. Sometimes we forget to lock the back cupboard, but nothing ever goes missing.
