Sanghvi Towels

Sanghvi Towels is located at C-1/1A in the MIDC area on Akk. Road. This part of the industrial zone is pretty active, and you can hear the hum of machinery from early morning until late in the evening. Our building is a simple structure that houses our production area and a small corner for administrative work. We deal with towels all day, so there is always a bit of lint in the air and the smell of fresh cotton. It’s a hands-on kind of job where we spend more time on the floor than sitting at a desk. We’re often checking the looms or making sure the dyeing process is going okay. The floors are concrete and can get quite cold in the winter, but the machines keep the place warm enough. Most of us have been working here for years, so we’ve got a rhythm that doesn’t need much explaining. We don’t go in for big presentations or anything polished. Instead, we just focus on the stacks of towels that need to be packed and sent out. Lunch is usually a quick affair brought from home, eaten while sitting on the packing crates. The Akkalkot Road outside is always full of tempos and trucks, which makes getting things shipped out a bit of a scramble sometimes. It’s just a regular factory life, focusing on the work that needs doing today and making sure the quality is decent.
