Srinath Cotton Combines

Srinath Cotton Combines is located at number 695 in Chati Galli. This is an old part of town, and the streets are narrow, so getting large loads of cotton in and out can be a real challenge sometimes. We’ve been working with cotton for a long time, and you can usually find bits of white fluff sticking to our clothes by midday. It’s a simple business, really. We take in the raw material and process it or move it along to the next person who needs it. Chati Galli is a place where everyone knows each other, so we spend a fair amount of time just saying hello to the neighbors. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place to keep the stock dry and safe. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or have a glossy brochure. If you want to know about cotton, you just come in and ask us. We’ve seen the market go up and down over the years, but we just keep doing what we’ve always done. The floors are worn down from years of heavy bags being dragged across them, and the air always smells a bit like dry earth and fiber. It’s a living, and it’s what our family has been doing for as long as I can remember. We open up early and close when the work is done.
