Madhav Textiles

Out on Akkalkot Road, in the MIDC area, things are mostly industrial and practical. That’s where you’ll find Madhav Textiles at number 271. It’s a wide road, but it’s often full of big trucks and dust from the factories around us. The unit isn't something you'd look at twice from the outside, just a solid building with a large gate and the company name painted on it. Inside, the noise is the main thing you notice—the sound of the machines running is like a steady heartbeat for us. We spend most of our daylight hours here, walking between the rows of equipment and checking on the production. There’s a small office space partitioned off where we keep the records and take our lunch breaks. The floor is concrete and can get pretty cold in the winter months, so we usually keep a few extra sweaters hanging on the hooks by the door. We aren’t right in the middle of the city, so it’s a bit of a trek for some of the staff, but we’ve got a good routine going. There’s a small canteen nearby where everyone goes for snacks. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but we’ve been at 271 for a long time now. The surrounding plots are all similar businesses, so there’s a sense of everyone just putting their heads down and getting on with the day.
