Birla Super Cement Ltd.

We’ve been based out here at Main Hotgi Station for a good while now. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of the trains coming through all day and night. You get used to the noise after a few weeks, though. Our place, Birla Super Cement Ltd., is pretty much what you’d expect from a cement depot. There are stacks of bags everywhere and fine gray dust that seems to settle on every surface no matter how much we try to sweep it away. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. We mostly just have our desks, a few chairs for visitors, and the ledgers where we track everything. Most mornings start early because that is when the trucks like to arrive. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and making sure the loading goes right. It’s physical work and sometimes it gets really hot under the tin roof, but that is just how it is. People in the area know us as the place near the station. We don’t do much advertising because the location does the work for us. If you’re looking for us, just head toward the station and you’ll see the sign. It’s faded a bit from the sun, but it’s still there. We just focus on getting the orders out and making sure the inventory is right. It is a simple way to run a business but it works for us.
