Sikatiya Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in Sikatia village, which is in the Maharajganj area of Siwan. We operate from a small building that serves as our main point for everything related to our farming work. Living in Siwan, we are used to the rhythm of the seasons and how they dictate everything we do. Our company isn't about making a lot of noise or showing off. It is just a practical necessity for us. We use our space to store some supplies and to meet and discuss how to sell our crops. The rooms are basic, and we often have grain dust on the floor, but that is the reality of our work. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that; you just walk in and talk to whoever is there. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when everyone shows up at once during the harvest season. We try our best to keep things moving and make sure everyone’s paperwork is in order. Most of us have been farming these same lands for generations, so we know the area very well. We don't use any complicated strategies. We just look at what the market is doing and try to help our members get through the year. It’s a local effort by local people who just want to keep their way of life going in Sikatia. We hope to stay here for many more years to come.
