Nazira is where we do our business. Most of the people around Na Mati Gharphalia Gaon know what we do with the bamboo. There is plenty of it growing in the valley and it keeps us busy most days. We do not have a big office or anything like that. Usually, we are just out there sorting through the poles and checking which ones are good for cutting. It is dusty work. Sometimes the humidity makes everything feel heavy, but the bamboo does not mind. We started Namdeng Valley Fed Bamboo Producer Company Limited because it made more sense to work together than trying to sell stuff on our own. There are a lot of families here involved in it. Some days the roads are bad and getting things moved is a headache. We just deal with it as it comes. You can find us near the subdivision area in Nazira if you need to talk. It is not a fancy setup. We mostly just focus on the harvest and making sure the stalks are handled right before they go out. Everyone knows everyone here, so word gets around pretty fast if there is work to be done. We are just trying to keep the tradition of bamboo work going while actually making enough to get by. It is a lot of manual labor, but it is what we know best. We do not have any big plans other than keeping the operation running.
