Out in Vill-Charigaon, near the Ponchowoti area, is where we keep our operations for Brahmaputra Valley Honey And Agro. We’re based in Bahona, and if you know the area, you know it’s a good place for this kind of work. We spend a lot of time with bees and the local farmers who help us out. It’s not a clean, white-floor kind of office. There’s usually some honey on the counters and a few stray bees wandering around the yard. We don't mind it much. The work is seasonal, so some months we are incredibly busy and others we are just doing maintenance on the equipment. We started this because we liked the idea of working with the natural stuff the valley provides. The people working here are all from around the village, so we don't really have a boss-and-employee kind of vibe. We just all know what needs to be done to get the honey jarred and the agro products sorted. Sometimes the jars leak or the labels go on slightly crooked, but we fix it and keep going. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just come to Charigaon and look for us. It’s a plain life, but we like being out here in the fresh air instead of a stuffy city building. It feels right.
