Desangmukh Agro Producer Company Limited is situated in Boloma Motak Gaon. We use Ananta Sharma’s place as our main point of contact for all the work we do. This village is a tight-knit community and most of us have been farming here for as long as we can remember. We named the company after the area because that is where our roots are. The work we do is pretty straightforward. We grow what the season allows and we try to get the best out of the soil every single time. Being near the Desangmukh area means we have to deal with the water and the cycles of the seasons. It is not always predictable. Some years the harvest is great and other years we just scrape by with what we have. That is why we decided to form this company. We thought if we worked as one group we could handle the ups and downs a bit better than just going it alone. We are not experts in business. We are experts in farming and knowing the land. We spend our days out in the sun and our evenings talking about what to plant next season. It is a simple life but it is ours. We do not have any flashy advertisements or big offices in the city. We just have our land and our local knowledge. We are just trying to make sure our village stays productive for everyone.
