About Raja Durai Singam Government Arts College – Education in Sivaganga
This college is right near the Government Hospital in Sivaganga. Being a government place, Raja Durai Singam Government Arts College has been around for quite a long time. You can tell by the way the walls look and how the trees have grown so tall over the years. We get students coming in from all the nearby villages and towns. Most of them take the bus and walk the rest of the way. It’s a big campus, so there is a lot of walking involved to get from the gate to the back classrooms. The office is usually busy with people asking about forms or exam dates. It’s not the quietest place, especially since the hospital is just a stone's throw away and there’s always traffic moving past. In the afternoons, when the sun is really hitting the courtyard, you’ll find students sitting under the shade of the big trees waiting for their next session. We don't have anything flashy here, just the standard desks and blackboards. The fans hum pretty loud in the summer, but they keep the air moving. People here just get on with their work. It feels very much like a typical town college where everyone is just trying to get their degree and figure out what comes next. There’s always someone drinking tea at the stall outside the gate. It’s just the way life goes on here every day.
