Our campus is located out in Pottapalayam, which is a bit of a drive from the main part of Madurai. You have to head out towards the 630611 area to find us. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except when the buses arrive in the morning and everyone spills out. Since we deal with information technology, there are a lot of cables and computers everywhere. Some of the labs are quite cold because of the air conditioning needed for the machines, which is a nice break from the Madurai heat outside. We have several buildings spread out and it takes a few minutes to walk between them. The canteen is usually the loudest place on campus, especially around noon. We go through a lot of tea and snacks during the day. It’s not the most glamorous looking place, just a lot of concrete and sun-baked paths. The staff here are mostly local people who have been around for a long while. We have some green patches with trees where students sit under the shade during their free hours. Sometimes the projectors don't work or we have to wait for someone to fix a server, but we manage. It’s a practical environment where people are just trying to learn their skills and get through their exams without too much trouble. It is just a regular place where we get on with the daily work.
