Sri Pagavathi College

Karpagam Complex is a bit of a landmark on Kowiery Street here in Sivaganga. Our college occupies a portion of it. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know how it is—motorcycles parked everywhere and people moving fast. The stairs leading up to our floor are a bit narrow, so everyone has to squeeze past each other when classes change. The air is often heavy and humid, which is just life in this part of Tamil Nadu. We have rows of desks and whiteboards that get stained over time. The office has a small window that doesn't let in much light, so we rely on the overhead tubes. There’s always someone coming in to ask about admission forms or certificates. It gets noisy when the shops downstairs are busy, but you get used to it. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we talk about local things during our breaks. We don't have a big campus with gardens; it’s more of a practical setup inside a commercial complex. Every day we deal with the same issues, like the internet going out or needing more chairs for a seminar. It’s a plain place, but it stays busy from morning until the sun goes down. People find us because of the location on Kowiery Street, right in the heart of the town. It’s just how we operate every single day without much fuss or bother.
