Sumangalam Gift & Fancy

Our shop is on Palace Road. It is a busy street with a lot of people walking by, especially during the festival seasons. We carry all sorts of things, from small trinkets to more decorative items for the house. It is a bit of a mix, which is why we call it a gift and fancy store. Sometimes the shelves get a little overstuffed because we try to fit in everything that looks interesting to us. It is not the most organized place in the world, but most people seem to enjoy looking through the aisles to see what they can find. We have been here for a while and know many of the neighbors who work in the other shops. We do not have a website or anything like that; we just open the doors in the morning and see who comes in. It is a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different people behind the counter depending on what time of day you visit. We do not do big advertisements. We just rely on being in a good spot on Palace Road where people naturally pass by. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when kids come in looking for toys, but it keeps the day interesting for us. We just try to keep things stocked with whatever people are asking for lately. It is a simple business, nothing too fancy despite what the name says.
