Om Mobile Services

Down on Palace Road, right where it meets Rajmata Dharamshala Road, is where we have our little service shop. It’s a busy intersection and there’s always something going on outside our door. We’ve been fixing mobile phones here for a long time. It started out as just a small hobby in a corner, but then it grew into a full-time job. The shop is quite small, so it can get a bit cramped when a few customers come in at once. We have glass cases filled with all sorts of things like screen guards, batteries, and different kinds of cables. We don't sell the latest expensive models, we mostly just focus on keeping the ones people already have in good working order. People often come in looking worried because they dropped their phone in water or the screen cracked. We do what we can to fix it. Sometimes we have to wait a couple of days for a part to arrive from the main supplier. The noise from the Dharamshala nearby and the traffic on Palace Road is constant, but we like the energy. We don't have any big posters or fancy signs. Most people just know we are here because they pass by every day on their way to work. We stay open until the sun goes down and sometimes a bit later if a job is urgent. It’s just us doing our thing.
