Payal Mobile Service Center

You can find Payal Mobile Service Center on the road near the L I C office in Sadar Bazar, at plot 17 C. It’s a dedicated space for fixing phones. We don't sell many new things; we mostly focus on repairs. People bring in phones that have been dropped in water or have smashed screens. We have a workbench in the back with all the tools and magnifying glasses. Sadar Bazar is a big area, so being near the L I C office makes us a bit easier to find. It’s a busy road with lots of motorcycles parked outside. We spend the day opening up devices and trying to find out why they won't turn on. Some days are slow, and other days we have a pile of phones waiting for parts to arrive. We use simple English to explain what's wrong because not everyone knows the technical terms. It’s a small team here, just two or three of us. We share a tea from the stall next door while we work. The shop is a bit cramped with all the spare parts and old boxes, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a big marketing budget. We just rely on people telling their friends that we fixed their phone properly. It’s a practical business. We open mid-morning and stay until the street lights come on. It is a lot of looking at tiny screws all day and making sure the connections are right.
