Shri Ambika Marbles

Shri Ambika Marbles sits right on Sevoke Road, at the 2nd Mile mark. If you know the area, we are basically right across from the P C M Bus Terminus. It’s a noisy spot with all the buses coming and going, but it makes us easy to spot. We’ve got stacks of marble and granite piled up in the yard. Most mornings start with moving pieces around so customers can see the patterns clearly. It’s not a polished showroom. It’s more of a working yard where there’s always some grit on the floor and the sound of traffic in the background. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and talking to builders who stop by. Since the bus stand is right there, there's always people walking past, looking at what we’ve got. We keep things pretty straightforward here. You walk in, look at the slabs, and we tell you what’s available. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy, but that’s part of being on Sevoke Road. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us handling the heavy lifting and the paperwork. It’s a local business through and through. We know the regulars and the local contractors by name. It’s been this way for a while now, just keeping the shop open and the stone moving. Nothing more to it than that, really. Just plain work every day.
