City Marble

City Marble is located in the village of Gosaipur, right in the Bagdogra area of Darjeeling district. Even though the name says "City," we’re very much a local village business. We’ve got a decent selection of marble and tiles for folks around here who are looking to do up their homes. Being in Bagdogra, we see a lot of people passing through, and sometimes they stop in just to see what kind of stone we carry. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we keep a good range of stock inside. We spend our days mostly moving heavy slabs and helping customers figure out how many square feet they actually need. Sometimes the math gets a bit confusing, but we work through it together. It’s a lot of physical labor, and the weather here can be a bit unpredictable, which makes moving stone tricky sometimes. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us making sure the orders are right and the stone is loaded safely. We like being in Gosaipur and getting to know the families who live nearby. It’s just a regular local shop where we try to stay honest about what we have and get through the daily chores. No big speeches or fancy branding, just a place to buy marble for your house and get some honest advice if you need it.
