Kavya Sree Traders

We are situated at the junction of Station Road and Palawas Road. It’s a good spot because everyone has to pass by here eventually. At Kavya Sree Traders, the day starts with us rolling up the heavy metal shutters and sweeping the front step. The air is always a bit dusty because of the construction work that seems to be happening somewhere nearby all the time. Inside, we have rows of shelves that we try to keep stocked, though things tend to get moved around a lot. We handle various types of trading goods depending on what’s in demand. It is mostly just me and two other guys running the whole show. We don’t have a computer system that does everything; we still write a lot of things down in our big ledger books. Sometimes the phone rings non-stop and other times it’s quiet for hours. We drink a lot of tea to stay sharp. The location is convenient for the transport trucks, though the narrow turn at the intersection makes it tricky for them to pull over. We’ve been here for several years and have seen many other shops come and go. We just keep our heads down and do our work. There’s nothing flashy about how we do things. We just provide what’s needed and keep the shop running as best as we can. Every day is a bit different.
