If you are standing at the main bus stand in Dhigal, you just look across the road and you’ll see us right opposite the Defence Academy. It is a handy spot because everyone passes by here anyway. We are Shekhawati Balaji Agro, and we have been working with the farmers around here for a while now. The academy always has some noise going on with the training, which keeps things lively. We deal with the local crops, mostly seeds and whatever is in season. When the harvest comes, the whole place gets crowded with sacks and people trying to get things weighed. It’s not a polished operation. We have a lot of old files and the chairs are a bit squeaky. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when we need it, and that makes everyone a bit grumpy, but we still have to manage the business side of things. We help the local guys get their inputs like fertilizers and good quality seeds without having to travel too far. It’s a community thing more than a big business. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to be useful to the people living and working in Dhigal. There is always someone here having a tea and talking about the next planting cycle. It is just how we operate.
