Debayan

Debayan is located near the Lakwah Police Station in Sivasagar. It’s a quiet spot most days, though the road gets busy when people head toward the station or the post office. We’ve been here at Village Post Office Lakwah R.S. for quite a while now. My uncle started this thing, and now it’s just how we spend our days. The weather in Assam can be tough, especially when the rains come down hard on the roof. We mostly just sit and wait for the sun to come out so we can get things moving again. People from around the district stop by, maybe ask a few questions, or just chat while they wait for their mail. It is not a very fancy place, just some shelves and a few chairs for when friends drop in. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just step outside for some air. Life moves at its own pace here. We do not have any big slogans or anything like that. It is just us, working near the tracks and the police station, trying to keep things organized. If you ever find yourself in Lakwah R.S., you will likely see our sign. It is just a small building but it does the job for what we need. We keep the doors open early in the morning before it gets too hot. Usually, the tea stall nearby is where we end up talking about the news. That is how it goes.
