Vivekananda College Of Nursing

Vivekananda College of Nursing is on 5th Main in the BL Gowda Layout, just off Turvanur Road in Chitradurga. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood, which is good for the students who are studying here. The building is a simple multi-story structure and it houses all our classrooms and training labs. We don't have a massive campus with parks or anything like that. It's more of a practical setting where the focus is on the nursing work. You’ll often see students in their uniforms around the local shops or walking to the college from nearby hostels. We have a small office on the ground floor where we handle all the admissions and student records. The hallways can be a bit cramped when classes are switching, but we’ve managed it this way for years. Most of the staff are from Chitradurga and we know the area well. We have a library with stacks of medical textbooks that get a lot of use. It’s not a polished corporate office. It's more like a workplace where everyone is busy with their own tasks. Sometimes we have issues with the plumbing or the electricity, but we just get someone to fix it and move on. We don’t spend much time on decorations. The classrooms have the necessary boards and charts on the walls. It’s a straightforward place to get an education and we just keep it running day after day without any special fanfare.
