Samyuktha Vidya Shale

Down here on Channagiri Road in Bukkambudhi, you will find Samyuktha Vidya Shale. It is a bit of a drive out if you are coming from the main parts of Chikmagalur, but we are right there in the middle of the village area. The air is usually a bit cooler here because of all the greenery around us. We have a small building that stays pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. Most of the kids who come here are from the nearby farms and houses in Bukkambudhi. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place organized because the wind blows a lot of leaves and dirt onto the veranda. The road outside can get a bit muddy during the monsoon season, so we tell everyone to watch their step. Inside, it is just rows of benches and plenty of books. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. Just the name of the school on the wall. It gets quiet in the evenings once the last bus leaves the stop on Channagiri Road. We usually stay back a bit to sort out the registers and lock up the cupboards. It is a humble place, and we do the work that needs to be done. No one is trying to be something they are not here. We are just a local school serving the people in this corner of the district. It’s a peaceful spot to spend the day working with the local families.
