We are based out of Shimoga, which is a nice change of pace compared to the bigger cities in Karnataka. Dhs Informatics Pvt Ltd has been operating from here for a good while now. It’s a pretty straightforward setup we have. We don't have those glass-walled offices you see in the movies. It’s just a regular building where we can focus on the work. Living and working in Shimoga means things move a little slower, which honestly, we don't mind at all. Most of the people working here are locals who grew up nearby. We spend our days dealing with various informatics tasks, mostly just sitting at our desks and working through spreadsheets or code. The office is usually quiet, except for when someone brings in snacks to share during the afternoon break. Our address here is easy enough to find if you’re in the 577222 zip code area. We don't really do the whole marketing thing or try to sound bigger than we are. We just provide a place for people here to work and contribute to what we’re doing. The rain can get pretty intense during the monsoon season, so we spend a lot of time making sure the roof doesn't leak and the computers stay dry. It’s just honest work in a place we like. We’ve built a decent rhythm over the years and we plan to keep it that way for as long as we can stay here.
