BARRACKS DEVELOPERS PRIVATE LIMITED is located on the ground floor of Govind Khand in Vishwakarma Nagar. Being on the ground floor is handy because we don't have to wait for elevators when we are in a hurry to get to a site. New Delhi can be a tough place to get around, especially in East Delhi when the markets are in full swing. Our office at 61, G/F is where we do all the administrative side of the developer business. There is usually someone here answering the phone or filing some kind of document. The walls have a few maps of the local areas pinned up. We deal with a lot of different people, from guys delivering sand to people asking about new plots. It gets dusty in the summer, so we are always cleaning the desks. Vishwakarma Nagar has its own rhythm, and we are right in the middle of it. Sometimes we just sit and talk about the next project over a cup of tea. It is a simple place. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights outside. People around here know where we are. Dealing with construction and development means there is always a lot of back and forth with the city departments. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay on top of the pile of work on our desks. It keeps us busy from morning until late evening.
