Out in Safilguda, specifically at 21-139 Uttam Nagar in Malkajgiri, you’ll find us. Sri Alokheya Creations is just a small local spot where we spend our days. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s got a different feel than the city center. We know the people who live nearby and they know us. The shop is a bit cluttered, to be honest. There are always pieces of material and notes scattered around on the counters. We aren't the most organized people in the world, but we know where everything is. We started this business because we wanted to do something close to home. Malkajgiri is where we grew up, so it made sense to stay here. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. If the work is okay, people come back, and that’s how we’ve stayed open. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard, so we usually sit in the back where it’s cooler. We talk about the local cricket scores or what’s happening in the neighborhood while we work. It’s a very relaxed way of doing things. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us, some tea, and the work that needs to get finished by the end of the day. Some days are slow and we just chat, while other days we are rushing around.
