V. S. Computers

V. S. Computers is located in Prashanthi Nagar. We are right across from the BSNL office. It’s a good spot because everyone knows where that is. The shop is small and usually full of old monitors, tangled cables, and computer parts. We spend most of our time hunched over a workbench with a screwdriver in hand. It’s dusty work because fans and motherboards always seem to collect a lot of dirt. We don't have a big showroom with new gadgets. It’s more of a repair place where things get fixed. People bring in their laptops when they won't turn on or when they are running too slow. We tell them what we think and how long it might take. Sometimes we have to wait a long time for parts to arrive in the mail. We drink a lot of coffee while waiting for software to install. It isn't a high-tech lab, just a regular shop with some desks and a few chairs for customers. We have a small sign out front but most people just find us by walking past. It can be frustrating when a fix doesn't work the first time, but we keep at it until the machine behaves. It’s just us and the computers every day. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a couple of people who know their way around a circuit board. We just want to get the screens glowing again.
