Afzal Hirer Caterers is right at the Tappa Chabutra X Roads in the Karkhana area. If you know the 13-4-135 building, that's where we keep all our stuff. We handle a lot of different things here, from big cooking pots to the plates and chairs people need for their events. It’s a busy spot near the crossroads, so there is always noise and traffic around us. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks right out front. It’s not a very quiet job. We’ve been at this location for a good bit of time and most of the locals know the name. When someone has a wedding or a big function, they usually stop by to see what equipment we have available to hire out. The inventory changes a lot depending on the week. Sometimes we are washing hundreds of plates, other times we are checking the burners to make sure they still work right. It’s a lot of manual labor and staying on your feet. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we keep our gear and manage the bookings. We try to keep everything organized, but with so many items moving in and out every day, it stays pretty cluttered. It’s just how a hiring business goes in a busy part of town like this. We just keep working through the pile of things to do.
