You can find us at House Number 01 in Jairampatti village. We're right near the Dhobkhara post office in Sant Kabir Nagar. Jairampatti Farmer Producer Companylimited is basically a group of local families working together. We’ve all been farming here for as long as anyone can remember. It gets hard doing it all alone, so we made this company to share the load. We handle the buying of supplies and the selling of what we grow as a single unit now. It’s not a polished operation. The "office" is just a room in the house where we keep the ledgers. We spend most of our time out in the fields anyway. The village is small, so everyone knows everyone else’s business. We try to keep things fair and make sure no one is left behind. Farming in Sant Kabir Nagar has its own set of challenges, from the water to the transport. Having this company helps us get a better handle on those things. It’s not about making a huge profit. It’s about making sure we can all keep going next year.
