Our company, Orissa Sponge Iron & Steel Limited, is run from Bimal Hota Lane in the Budharaja area of Sambalpur. Sameer Kumar Pujari handles the operations here, continuing the work in this district. We are right in the middle of an area known for its industrial roots, so we fit right in. Our day-to-day life involves a lot of talk about iron ore, furnaces, and production schedules. Sponge iron is a tough business, and the office reflects that—it’s practical and built for work, not for showing off. We have a lot of history in this part of Orissa, and many of us have lived in Sambalpur our whole lives. Most of our time is spent managing the logistics of the plant and making sure the raw materials are arriving as they should. It’s a loud, hot, and busy industry, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We don't use any fancy sales pitches; the steel speaks for itself. The office on Bimal Hota Lane is where we handle the accounts and the shipping documents. It’s usually a bit chaotic with people coming in and out, but we have our own way of keeping things organized. We are just a group of local people working hard to keep the production lines moving. It’s not always easy, especially when the market shifts, but it’s what we know how to do. We’ve been doing this a long time and plan to keep at it.
