Our branch is situated in Pragati Vihar, which is in the Aintapalli area of Sambalpur. We operate out of a space that belongs to Dr. Dayasagar Parida. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, which is nice when you have a lot of work to get through. Sambalpur has its own way of doing things, and we fit right into that local rhythm. The office is pretty simple. We have our desks, some old filing cabinets, and a computer that’s seen better days. We spend a lot of time talking to people across Orissa about power and steel requirements. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the numbers add up. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to take a break from the computers, but we just use that time to catch up on the physical paperwork. The air can get quite dusty around here, so we are always cleaning the surfaces. It’s not a high-tech environment, but it works for what we need to do. We know the local shopkeepers and often grab a snack from the vendors nearby. It feels like being part of a small community while working for a much larger company. We don't use any fancy titles or have big meetings. We just show up, do our jobs, and go home to our families in the evening. It is a steady way to make a living in Orissa.
