The Richmond Hotel

Our place is out in Selliyam Palayam, near the Minnam Palli post office. It's a bit of a drive through Karipatty to get here, but it's quiet. We've got rooms for people passing through Salem. It's nothing too fancy, just a decent place to sleep and wash up. I usually handle the front desk myself most mornings. You'll find us on the way to the city. The building isn't new, but we try to keep it clean for whoever stays. Sometimes the weather here in Tamil Nadu gets really hot, so the fans are always going. We get travelers, truck drivers, and families visiting relatives nearby. There’s a bit of a garden out front that I try to keep tidy when I have the time. The tea shop down the road is where most of us get our morning breakfast. It’s a simple life out here in 636 106. We don't have a big website or anything, just people finding us by word of mouth or seeing the sign on the road. If you're looking for a quiet spot away from the main Salem rush, this is it. It’s just a hotel, plain and simple. We make sure the beds are made and the water is running. That’s about all you can ask for. We’ve been here a good while now, and we know the roads around here like the back of our hands. It's just home.
