Ritz Hotel

We are located at No 1, Gandhi Road in the Hastampatti area. It is a busy corner in Salem and we have been here for quite some time now. The building is easy to find because most people in this part of town know the landmark. We usually open up early in the morning when the traffic starts picking up on Gandhi Road. It gets a bit noisy with the buses and cars, but that is just how it is in this neighborhood. The hotel has several floors and we have an old lift that goes up and down all day. Most of our guests are people traveling for work or families stopping over for a night before heading somewhere else. The rooms are basic with a bed, a small table, and a fan or AC depending on what you pick. We don't have a fancy lobby with marble floors, just some chairs and a desk where we keep the register. My nephew helps out at the front sometimes. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors because of all the dust that comes in from the street. There are a few small shops right next to us where you can get tea or snacks. It is a very normal place to stay. Nothing is overly decorated or polished. We just try to make sure the rooms are ready when someone shows up. It is a straightforward business and we keep things simple for everyone who walks through our doors.
