Sihaul Fed Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based in Sihaul, specifically in Ward No-03, out in the Saharsa district. Mukesh Kumar Roy is the person who looks after the records for us. We are a federation of farmers here in the village. Most of us have been working these fields since we were young. The Sihaul Fed company was started so we could have a bit more say in how our produce is handled once it leaves the farm. It’s a lot of work coordinating between all the different families in the ward. We mostly deal with the staple crops of the Saharsa region. The weather can be really unpredictable here, so we talk a lot about how to protect our crops. We don't use any big words or marketing talk. We just want to get a fair price for the hard work we put into the ground. Our office is just a simple room in the village where we keep our registers and seeds. We spend most of our time outside anyway. It’s a community effort, and everyone chips in where they can. We're just a small group of people in Sihaul trying to make a living from the land. It’s not always pretty, but it’s real work that needs doing. We’re glad to be part of the local community here and we just keep on going day by day. That is the only way we know how to do things.
