Katyikayni Kisan Bagwani Producer Company Limited is based in the village of Ghordaur. Specifically, you can find us in the Pahalam tola area. We are part of the Banma Itahri block in Saharsa district. This company was put together by local farmers who wanted to do something for themselves. We mostly focus on gardening and orchards, which is what the "Bagwani" in our name is all about. It is hard work being out in the sun all day, but we are used to it by now. The office is just a small building where we gather to talk about our crops and the prices we are getting at the market. We do not have a big fancy staff or anyone in a suit. We wear our everyday clothes and speak our local language. It is about as real as it gets. We have our share of problems, like when the rain does not come or when the pests get into the trees. But we help each other out whenever we can. That is why we formed this producer company in the first place. We wanted a way for everyone in the Ghordaur panchayat to have a say in how things are run. We are not looking to become some giant corporation. We just want to make a living and keep our land healthy for our kids. It is just us, working hard in Saharsa.
