The Jivika Office in Saharsa is where you will find us. We are Kaushikee Mahila Milk Producer Company Limited. It is located in the Zila Project Coordination Unit area in Hatiya Gachi. Being a milk producer company means our day starts very early. Usually, the sun isn't even up when the first cans start arriving. Saharsa can be a tough place with the weather, but the women here are hardworking. We deal with milk, which is something that doesn't wait for anyone. It has to be handled quickly and kept cool. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It has tables, chairs, and a lot of ledgers for keeping track of who brought what. We work closely with the Jivika groups because that is how we organized ourselves. It’s about the women in the village having a way to sell their milk fairly. There is often a lot of noise with the cans clinking and people talking all at once. It gets a bit chaotic during the morning rush. We don't have a corporate office in a skyscraper. We are right here in Hatiya Gachi, close to the people. Sometimes the roads get muddy when it rains, making it hard for the transport, but we find a way. It is a community effort, and we just try to keep the records straight and the milk moving to where it needs to go every single day.
