Mata Vaishno Jammu Dhabha

This place is right on Ambala Road in Saharanpur, not too far from the ITI College. We get a lot of students coming in because it’s close to them. It’s a basic dhabha, really. We have the usual tables and chairs that have seen better days, but they work fine. Most of the time, the kitchen is humming with the sound of pans and the smell of whatever is cooking that day. We mostly serve people who are traveling through or locals who don't want to cook at home. The area around Sarsohedi gets quite busy during the day with all the trucks and cars passing by. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don’t have a big menu with fancy names. It’s just dal, some vegetables, and fresh roti. I spend most of my day making sure the supplies are here and that the stove is working. It’s hard work, especially in the summer when the heat in the kitchen gets really bad. But we keep going because people need to eat. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We don’t put on any acts here. If you want a meal that fills you up while you're on the road, this is where we are. It’s just a normal spot on the highway.
