Unity English Medium School

You can find us over on Hadda Katin Road in the Raneh area, which is part of Damoh. We started Unity English Medium School because there was a need for a school like this in our little corner of the world. It is a fairly straightforward place. We have got the classrooms, some desks, and a chalkboard in each room. Nothing fancy. The kids come from all over the nearby villages and towns. It can be a long trip for some of them, but they show up pretty much every day. We try to keep things strictly about the learning. There aren't many distractions out here in Raneh, which is probably a good thing for the students. The building itself is sturdy and has been through a few rainy seasons now. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows and keep going with the lesson. That is just how life is here in the 470775 area. Our teachers are local folks who care about the community. We don't spend money on big advertisements or fancy brochures. Most people hear about us through word of mouth from their neighbors. It is a quiet life, mostly focused on getting these kids through their exams and helping them learn English. It’s not always perfect, and sometimes the courtyard needs a bit of sweeping, but we do our best with what we have got here. It serves the purpose for those living around Damoh.
