Dehli Public School

Dehli Public School is located at N.H.26 in the Makronia Camp area of Sagar. Since we are near the camp, there is a certain rhythm to the neighborhood that we have all grown used to. The highway is right outside, so there is always a layer of dust on the bushes and the gate. The school itself is a big building, but it feels pretty ordinary once you are inside. We have long corridors that echo when they are empty, but they are rarely empty. There are always kids running around or teachers carrying stacks of books from one room to another. We do not have fancy office furniture or anything that looks too polished. Most of the chairs in the office are a bit squeaky and the cupboards are stuffed with old files from years ago. In Sagar, the summers are really hot, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working. It is a lot of practical work, like fixing a leaky tap or making sure the bus drivers have the right keys. We do not spend time writing big speeches. We just show up and make sure the day goes as planned. The kids come from all over the city and the camp, so it is a good mix of people. It is just a local spot on the highway where we do our jobs every day without much fuss.
