Gomti Nandan Public School

In the Gandhi Ward of Bina, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our school is situated right here in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. Most people know the area because of the railway junction, and we get the sound of trains in the distance all day long. Gomti Nandan Public School isn’t a massive institution; it’s more of a community fixture. The building is a simple one, painted a light color that has faded over the years. We have a gate that squeaks every time someone opens it. Inside, you’ll find students from all over the ward and nearby villages. The classrooms have high ceilings to help with the heat, but it’s still quite warm most months. We spend our days teaching the basic subjects and making sure the kids stay out of trouble. During recess, they play in the dirt patch out front since we don’t have a paved playground. The teachers here are like family; we all know each other’s business. We don't have high-tech gadgets or computer labs with the latest gear. We mostly use our textbooks and the blackboard. It’s a humble place, and we are just plain folks doing the work of running a school in a small town.
